Crochet Necklace Variation

I've been looking for a cute pattern to make a crochet accessories and I stumbled upon acommonthread blog. Her blog is really interesting, she has a great sense of fashion and she gives some of her pattern for free. My most favorite pattern from her blog is the crochet bib necklace, especially the one that she made and wear in her blog. I've been tinkering with her pattern and make some other inspiration from her pattern.

This is the crochet bib necklace looks like, it's actually from 3 row of crochet that is join into one big, bold, statement necklace.

If three are too big just make one and it's still looks cute. Kinda look like a lace.

You can also make a beautiful rose from the same pattern, just roll the finished pattern and sew or glue at the bottom part.

If you're interested in making this, just visit acommonthread.

My New Crochet Hook Set

Tired with my same ol' steel crochet hook I decided to buy another one. I've never buy crochet stuff online so I'm pretty surprised that there are a lot of local online shop that sells crochet and knitting stuff. Noted some of those stuff are a bit heavy on the price side especially for the soft and ergonomic crochet hook.

After looking here and there I finally found an online shop that sells more affordable crochet hook. I bought this crochet hook set for $7.5 (IDR 75K) which is more affordable than the other crochet hook set. There are 7 hook in 1 set from 2mm until 5mm.

Cochet Hook Set

After waiting for about 2 days the package come and I'm pretty satisfied with it. It has a nice grip and quite slippery with yarn which make it faster to crochet.

My New Laptop Mouse

Front

I've been wanting to buy a new mouse but never had a time to do it and every time I do I'm not interested in any that I've seen. I don't like a big mouse with a long usb cable but the smaller one has push-pull usb cable that I have since it often get tangled and ugly. Some of the mouse are cute but they are pretty expensive. After searching here and there I found this mouse at Jakarta Notebook online shop at $2 (IDR 20.000), after pondering about it since the shipping fee is $1.2 (IDR 12.000) which is more than half the price of the mouse itself I decided to buy this one.

When the package come I'm glad that I buy it since it exactly what I need. The size is pretty small but fits with my hand, it doesn't have a push-pull usb cable but rather you roll the cable around the mouse and tug the usb at the back side of the mouse. Perfect!!

Crochet Star Amigurumi

Even though I have a deadline for a 10 pages paper tomorrow I still make time to make this cute star amigurumi, no worries the paper is already finished. I'm making this star while watching TV. There are two parts of this amigurumi and both of them are made in continuous round and join by sewing. I fill this star as I sew with fiberfill, and the eyes are made from felt fabric which I glued to the star. I made the leftover yarn longer so I can hang this star somewhere. (I haven't think where I will put it yet...)

You can see this star patter at marte's blog.

Crochet Flower Accessories

Flower Hair Clip

This hair clip is a combination of two flowers and leaves, the flowers are pelargonium and daisy. It is pretty easy to make this flower especially if we're accustomed to the pattern and stitches. Once the flowers and leaves just put it in your hair clip using glue gun and Voila!! A regular ol' hair clip turns into a cuter hair clip!! \(^_^\) (/^_^)/

Crochet: Daisy

I wanted to make this pretty daisy into a necklace but I think a brooch or a hair clip with this daisy will look good too!! The flower petals are made individually and sew into the flower center. I'm having a hard time making this flower since I'm not used to making things this small.I'm a bit ashamed putting this picture because it doesn't neatly made.

This daisy is made by Chiwaluv Amigurumi Critters and can be seen at crochetme.Visit my online shop Pernak Pernik Sekar if you like ^^
