Review: Jordana Easyshine Glossy Lip Color #04 Raspberry

Normally I'm not really a fan of pink lipstick and I prefer an orange or peach colored lipstick, unless it's a lip tint then pink it's not a problem. IDK why but pink lipstick seem to Barbie-ish to me?? Well it's just me being weird though. Pink lip tint is okay because when I wore them, they look more natural on me than pink lipstick. Having said that... I wonder now why I don't have a problem wearing red lips but I tend to back down on pink or even nude lipstick . Anyway.... Even though I don't usually prefer a pink lipstick, that opinion changes when I saw this pretty pink lipstick from Jordana. I has a pretty pink color and since the prize is totally easy on the wallet I give it a try and the one that I bought is the Jordana Easyshine Glossy Lip Color in #04 Raspberry shade.

Packaging:
The Jordana Easyshine Glossy Lip Color comes in a plastic twist-up bullet packaging with a clear plastic cap so I can see the color inside easily although since the bullet itself has the same color I really don't have any difficulty in spotting the color. The only thing that I have a problem is that the lipstick doesn't totally goes inside the bullet when I twist the product in so I tend to nick some of it when I'm opening or closing the product. The clear cap tends to get dirty from the constant nicking . The picture above is the actual look on the lipstick when I twist it all the way down.

Formula:
I'm actually kinda confuse on what to describe this lip color it's like a lipstick but not really pigmented, it gives shine like a lip gloss but not as glossy, it moisturizes my lips like a lip balm but of course lip balm is more moisturizing than this one. So maybe it's a combination of lipstick, lip gloss and lip balm he he he... It felt really light and smooth on my lips and I love it!!

Color:
Depending on the shade some of it are sheer and some more dense. The Raspberry is a pretty pink raspberry and it has subtle silver shimmer on it too. The shimmer is not too sparky or gritty but just perfect. This particular shade has a medium coverage on my lips and the color is buildable.

Staying Power:
Since it's more of a combination of lipstick, lip gloss and lip balm the staying power is about average. It goes for a maximum of two hours on my lips with eating and drinking and I usually reapply as needed.

Scent / Taste:
The Raspberry has a nice raspberry scent and I think all of the shade has a scent according to it's name. I personally like its scent, very sweet and not too overwhelming. As for the taste the Raspberry taste a bit sweet and I'm guessing all of the other shade has similar taste too.

What I Like:
- great scent and sweet flavored.
- pretty color
- medium coverage
- non drying formula
- nice subtle gloss
- very affordable

What I Didn't Like:
- cheap looking packaging (although with its price I shouldn't complain)

- the product doesn't twist all the way inside the bullet
