Review: Silkygirl Shimmer Duo Blusher in 03 Rose Petal

I hope you're gonna have a great weekend I hope I'll have a good weekend too because my brother said he has a slight fever and that worries me a lot. I ask him to come to my place so I can take care of him but he said no . Well he lives in a boarding house full of doctors so maybe he has a better chance of getting better but still it slightly hurts... Oh well... rather than wallowing in self loathing which is a bad habit that I sometimes do let's make a review post instead!! Today's review is about one of my favorite Blusher and I always found myself reaching for this baby whenever I'm confused on which blusher shade to use #LOL #firstworldproblem

Description:

The Shimmer Duo Blusher pairs matte and shimmer shades to illuminate your features. The matte blush can be used for shading and contouring, whilst the shimmer shade can be used for highlighting. When used together, you can see an instant glow on your face at once. Its ultra-fine texture makes blending a dream. Oil-free and fragrance-free.

Ingredients:
I'm too lazy to write the ingredients again so you can read it on the picture above .

Packaging:
The blusher comes in this little transparent box which make it easier for me the see the color. It has two compartments, the top part is the blusher and the bottom part is the brush.

The Brush:
I was a bit skeptical about the brush but boy I was wrong! The brush has a good quality! It's quite soft, can pick up a decent amount of products and easy to use. It makes the blusher application smooth and great for touch up too.

Color & Swatch:

The one that I bought is no. 3 called Rose Petal which of course like the name itself has a Rose Shade. The highlight or the lighter/shimmer shade is a light pink with a silver shimmer and the countour or the darker/matte shade is a dark rose color. Both color are quite pigmented and buildable.

Texture & Finish:
The blusher has a smooth feeling and it's very easy to apply and blend. Not too powdery or chalky. Both color has shimmer to it although the matte shade shimmer isn't very visible when applied on skin.

Staying Power:
I think it has a great staying power considering I have a normal-combination skin. It stays almost half a day when I wore it even though it started to face after about 4 hours but it still quite visible.

How I Use It:
Even though I supposed to use it as a higlighter and countour I prefer to mix both of the shade together. The combinatio of both color plus a little bit of shimmer looks perfect on me!

What I Like:
- affordable
- easy to get
- good staying power
- oil free and fragrance free
- smooth texture and not chalky

What I DOn't Like:
NONE!!
