Review: L'Oreal Hair Spa Nourishing Creambath

Hey there...

I'm gonna review and awesome hair treatment product that has been a favorite of mine for years now. It's L'Oreal Hair Spa Nourishing Creambath!! I first heard this product from a friend of mine, she has a beautiful shiny black hair and I ask about what treatment did she use and she told me about L'Oreal Hair Spa and after that I drive to my favorite Cosmetic Shop in Jogjakarta a.k.a Toko Mutiara. Lucky enough there's still one tube available and I grab it as fast as I can... After that I've been a regular user of this product although I cheat with other products sometimes. Oh BTW now that I've moved to Surabaya I've been having trouble on getting my hands on this baby... Mainly because the store that sells salon supplies are quite far from where I live and I rarely seen this hair spa at the supermarket too.

About L'Oreal Hair Spa:
Sensory System 2 - Continue your personal Hair Spa experience with this sensory massage service, after the sensory System 1 shampoo. The smoothing formula is based on purified water, cationic smoothing agents and glycerin, to help control volume. The hair is soft, easy to massage and shiny- from root to tip. For dual action on hair and scalp: blend this creambath with the approperiate scalp concentrate.

Packaging:
L'Oreal Hair Spa comes in a blue jar packaging with a silver lid. Since it's intended for salon use the size is quite big (It's 500ml!!) and off course not travel friendly. So if I'm going for a long vacation I usually transfer it into a smaller container. There's actually a plastic lid inside the jar to prevent spillage but I seem to lost it.

How to Use (directions as per the product):
  1. Shampoo and towel dry.
  2. Blend a generous amount of the nourishing creambath with the corresponding scalp concentrate (1 capsule).
  3.  Apply the blend to hair. Distribute evenly and massage thoroughly into hair and scalp for 20 minutes.
  4. Comb and leave for 10 minutes using a steamer or warm towel.
  5. Rinse thoroughly and finalize treatment with the energizing scalp lotion.

How I Use it:
Since I'm pretty lazy to do all that I use it as a conditioner and hair mask.
Conditioner: I mix the hair spa with my usual conditioner after I shampooed. Leave it for about 10 minutes (I shampooed first and then take a shower, brush my teeth, etc etc afterwards) and rinse thoroughly.
Hair Mask: I wash my hair and then towel dried it. I put a generous amount of the hair spa on my hair only and not on my scalp. Keep my hair up with a hair clip and then I put on a shower cap. I leave my hair for at least 20 minutes and then I rinse.

Texture/Fragrance:
The hair spa has a thick and creamy texture and it doesn't harden even after I leave it longer than 20 minutes. Some hair products gets harden when I leave it on my hair for too long and that makes it hard for me to rinse my hair but I don't have any problem with the L'Oreal Hair Spa. It also has a lovely coconut scent and I don't usually like a coconut scent but this one smells great!! Feels like fresh tropical summer!!

Ingredients:
Aqua / Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Chloride, Cetyl Esters, Amodimethicone, Methylparaben, Trideceth-12, Chlorhexidine Dihydrochloride, Hexyl Cinnamal, Benzyl Salicylate, Linalool, Cetrimonium Chloride, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Parfum / Fragrance, C13453/3.

My Experience:
The first time I use this creambath I am in love!! My hair felt really soft after it dries and even though the texture is really thick and creamy it doesn't make my hair feels heavy!! I absolutely love the soft and smooth look on my hair. Plus it gives my hair just the perfect amount of volume, some hair products makes my hair limp and some makes my hair even more voluminous than usual which is awful!!

What I Like:
- smells great.
- easy to rinse.
- didn't weigh down hair.
- hair feels soft.

What I Don't Like:
- it's quite tricky to find.

Where do I Buy It?
I usually get it at Toko Mutiara Jogjakarta but I think it's usually available on a Salon Supplies Store.

How Much?

The last time I bought it around 8 months ago was IDR 95.000
