Crochet: Rainbow Clutch

Hi again!!

Sorry I haven't post any crochet-related post for a while.... I do make several crochet projects but most of them are a gift for someone and I forgot to take pictures of it too... #sigh... Anyway here's my latest crochet project that I remember to take pictures on. 

Isn't it cute!! The reason I made this clutch is because I use backpack a lot lately when I go out because I carry a lot of stuff and I put my phones inside. So when I need to use my phone or when there's a call or text it's quite bothersome to look for the phone inside the bag and of course I can't hear the phone when it's ringing. I don't like to put my phone on my pocket and if I carry the phone on my hand it's also quite tricky (especially when I window shop or discount hunting #LOL) so I decided to make one.

I know it's somewhat late to do a December Haul post but since I've already took the pictures I might as well blog about it right? Last December I didn't bought that many make-up or skin care (I think...) and tend to buy some fashion stuff. So here goes my December Haul fellas...

I've been following Luxury Home Spa's IG for a while and I finally decided to buy their products. Their home spa products are free from dangerous chemical and the ingredients are also natural and food grade. I once left a bottle of the product open and it's covered by ants #LOL. Crochet: Rainbow Grocery Bag

Good Evening!!

I hope your day went well today ^^. Tonight I just wanna share a crochet grocery bag that I finished making about a month ago and it also took about a month to finish. I never made such a big project before because I lack the patient to do it but ever since I saw a certain Crochet Mesh Bag at craftgawker I tell myself that I have to make one!! The first bag was made by Ami from All About Ami and she has a lot of beautiful and cute crochet pattern to share but the original pattern is from Knit-O-Matic. Ami made a modification from the Knit-O-Matic pattern and I made a modification base on Ami's pattern #LOL that's quite confusing right? The reason I made another modification is because I use smaller yarn and hook size, both the original and Ami's pattern use 4mm crochet hook while I use 2.5mm crochet hook so I have to modified the pattern to make it bigger. Knit-O-Matic use one color and Ami's made it into twotone color but I make mine into a rainbow color YAY!! Curious what it looks like?

I've been into rainbow theme lately and it's also a good way to use up a few of my yarn collection because apparently I have turn into a yarn hoarder. I keep buying more and more yarn and it's turn into some kind of addiction (TAT).

Crochet: Finn The Human Pouch

Helloooo!!!!!

I've made this Finn The Human Pouch from Adventure Time Series for my new Online Shop Collection but it was sold even before I put the picture #LOL. I'm gonna make another one as soon as I had the time.

This is what the front pouch looks like. I made Finn's face square because it'll look weird if I made it round like the original picture. It doesn't seem to match with the pouch shape.

This is the back pouch looks like. I made Finn's ear too ^^

Crochet: Batman Sling Bag (with Tapestry Chart)

Hello again...

I just wanted to show you this mini sling bag that I made for my nephew. It's my first time on making a tapestry crochet project. I certainly like how this bag turns  out. It's not very big but perfect for my nephew to put a few of his small toys or a bigger action figures.

Crochet Flower Inspiration

Sorry for neglecting the crochet part of the blog for some time now... But I promise I'm gonna try to post more on crochet stuff.  Today I'm gonna post on a crochet flower inspiration. I got the inspiration when I went to a local craft supply store in Jogjakarta. 

Tutorial: DIY Lace Shorts

Apparently a lot of my reader ask mo to post more DIY so today I'm gonna post another DIY to upcycle unused jeans because I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who had a whole lot of unused pair of jeans. There are two jeans that I'm going to upcycle in this post and both of them use laces. Laces are pretty easy to find in any craft store or sewing store and there are a lot of types to choose. Just be creative and have fun!!

DIY Shorts with Lace Ribbon

At first I didn't think to embellish the jeans, I just want to cut the jeans into a shorts.

I cut it longer than my desired shorts length because I wanted to roll up the bottom at first but after try it on it looks kinda boring.

I found my mom's collection of lace ribbon and I think it'll look really nice. I sew the ribbon on the bottom shorts and on the back pocket. But using a fabric glue is actually more convenient.

Here's the detailed look on the lace. I spent 3 hours to sew all of the lace on the shorts.

To give the shorts a distressed looks I cut a really small cuts on the pocket area using a nail clipper but a regular scissors is fine too.

DIY Shorts with Crochet Doily

I use a crochet doily that my mom made a while back and didn't use for this shorts. But it doesn't have to be a crochet doily though, any kind of lace embellishment can be use for this shorts.

So I had this bell bottom jeans with corduroy patch back in 2003 I think and I never used it again. It just stays there on the corner of my closet. 

I cut it into a shorts.

Because mine has corduroy patch on it I only cut the corduroy portion. But if you want to make it like mine just cut it in a triangle shape. This method also give more room for my thigh because sometimes when I buy shorts it's a bit tight in that area.

I add the crochet doily to replace the corduroy patch and sew it. 

I also add festoon stitch on the bottom because I think it'll look cuter ^^.

Voila!! Another shorts that's perfect for summer!!

Tutorial: DIY Ombre Shorts

Got a few of unused jeans?? Why not turn them into a new pair of shorts!! But just cutting the jeans into a regular ole pair of shorts would be boring right?? So here's a tutorial on how to change your unused jeans into an ombre shorts. Why buy it if you can make it right??

So after I come home and cleaning my closet I found a lot of unused jeans. I have several ideas on how to upcycle them but I'm thinking on making the ombre shorts first.

I had this blue jeans that has faded color which will be perfect for this project.

D.I.Y Studded Shoes and Card Wallet

Hey Y'all!!

Lately I've seen stud everywhere, there are studded bags, studded shoes, studded clothes, even studded cell phone cases!!

So rather than buy the stuff why not I made it myself!! It's cheaper and I can recycle my old stuff. I bought the studs at local craft store for about IDR 11.000 in a small plastic bag and there are a lot of sizes and shapes at a different price.

Cute Tights Leggings

Iseng jalan ke Ambarrukmo Plaza habis dari Carrefour aku liat-liat ke Centro nemu diskonan legging, pas diliat-liat ternyata ada beberapa yang lucu akhirnya beli 3 deh... Sebetulnya rada impulse buying sih tapi ya sudahlah....

Aku beli 3 diskon 70% jadi sekitar 20 ribuan satunya. Yang aku paling suka yg model gradasi biru dan abu-abu, sayangnya cuma ada 2 warna ini.

Legging yang ini model legging injak warnanya agak abu-abu, dipakenya gampang dan adem banget di kulit. Aku juga suka tuh sama tekstur garisnya. Setelah dipakai ternyata gag setipis yang aku sangka, soalnya ini modelnya bukan seperti legging spandeks tapi lebih mirip legging tights.

Legging gradasi biru ini yang paling aku suka, dia modelnya full legging dan cukup hangat juga kalau nanti dipake pas udara dingin tapi gag terlalu panas juga waktu dipake sehari-hari. Kekurangannya adalah dipakenya agak ribet harus ditarik pelan-pelan gitu supaya enak dipakainya dan memang lebih mirip tights karena agak lebih tipis.

Legging gradasi abu-abu ini waktu dipakai ternyata agak terlihat lebih tipis dibanding yang biru, masih mikir-mikir nih kapan mau dipake si legging.

Sunday Morning @ UGM

Pagi ini iseng-iseng pengen jalan-jalan ke Sunmor (Sunday Morning) UGM alias pasar pagi UGM. Disana ada macem-macem barang yang dijual dari baju, makanan, sepatu, sampai kain pel. Niatnya kesana cuma pengen beli keripik Green Tea sama keripik African Chocolate yang baru dijual hari ini. Pas balik mau ke parkiran liat di seberang jalan ada yang rame-rame, penasaran aku ikutan liat. Gag taunya ada yang lagi garage sale!! Iseng deh ngudal-ngadul disitu...

Dalam kasus kli ini ternyata "Curiosity doesn't kill a cat", rasa penasaran membawa hasil he he he.... Aku dapet 3 baju cuma dengan uang 63 ribu aja, gag tau buat yang lain tapi buat aku itu cukup murah.

Kaos Lace ini kudapat dengan harga 15 ribu aja, bahannya spandex dan bisa di mix-match dengan baju-baju yang lain.Entah kenapa aku suka banget sama aksen 2 kancing di leher tuh.. berhubung aku gag suka ama baju yang lehernya terlalu rendah, biasanya kalau baju lehernya rendah aku pake kalung ato choker biar lehernya gag berasa lega ato gimana gitu.... *nonsense rambling*

Dari 3 baju yang kudapat hari ini kemeja loreng-loreng ini yang harganya paling mahal yaitu 38 ribu, tapi masih murah juga. Biasanya kalau nyari kemeja model begini itu harganya nyaris 100  ribuan. Kancingnya hilang satu tapi gag masalah bisa dikasi peniti darurat kalau pengen cepet dipake he he he. Nantinya bakal beli kancing lagi buat ganti kancing yang hilang.
