Review: Astral All Over Moisturizer (Original) + DIY Tinted Moisturizer

Sorry for neglecting this blog for a while, but now I'm back with a lot of review!! My first review of the day is Astral All Over Moisturizer Original and this moisturizer was sent to me for review purposes but I promise you it will be an honest review

Onto the review then......

The moisturizer was sent directly by the PR from London so it took more than a month to reach my place and I have to get it at the postal office. Oh before I continue a quick info on my skin condition in case you're a first time reader. I have a normal-oily combination skin, it's quite sensitive and acne prone. Yeah I know... This kind of skin condition is really tricky. I can't moisturize too much because it'll break me out but if I don't moisturize enough it's gonna feel dry #sigh.

Review: Luxury Home Spa White Face Spa

Halooo!!!

Sudah kangen kah dengan diriku?? Akhir-akhir ini mood posting agak galau dan apalagi sedang update produk untuk OL Shop aku Pernak Pernik Sekar jadinya blog pribadi agak terbengkalai. Review: X2R Taiwan Skin Care Series

Beberapa minggu yang lalu aku mendapat tawaran untuk mereview beberapa produk dari X2R Taiwan Skin Care dari Claire's Store. Review: Papulex Oil Free Cream

I finally make another review on this great moisturizer that I've been using for almost six months now and also have been repurchasing it too!! It's Papulex Oil Free Cream. So what is Papulex? Papulex is a range of an acne care products from France that is specially formulated products for acne-prone akin and has been clinically demonstrated to be effective for all forms of acne! The Papulex line of products cleanses, protects and keeps acne-prone skin in good condition. It contains three key ingredients; Nicotinamide, to calm red and irritated skin, Zinc PCA to help control oily skin and maintain the skin in good condition and an antibacterial substance (ABA) to help clear blemishes. I haven't update my blog for a while now because I've been busy preparing for my graduation and haven't had the time to post anything and since now I had a lil' bit time I'm gonna post my first impression on Etude House Skin Malgem Kit.

I got this trial kit as a giveaway prize from Intenscorner a few months ago and finally decided to use it.

Skin Malgem Smoother

Etude House Skin [Mal:Gem] Smoother is a hypoallergenic exfoliating toner that makes skin clear and smooth. Orange ingredient reduces appearance of pores and cleans out impurities effectively, by removing dead skin cells. Lemon extract makes dull skin look brighter and clearer while sugar maple promotes softer skin with moisturizing properties.

Directions: After cleansing, apply all over face with cotton swab.

At the back of the bottle it says "Exfoliation Toner", which really helps in keeping skin smooth. This toner has watery consistency and it has a flowery fruity scent. Both of the Smoother and Deep Moist has a similar scent. I use this toner twice a day as a clarifying toner after I wash my face to deep cleanse my skin. A bottle last for about 10 days since I'm only using it a little bit because I don't want it to go empty since I love this toner so much!! This toner really cleanse my skin well, even after I wash my face there is is still some dirt residue on the cotton!! This means (I think) that this toner really cleanse my face well and my face feels extra clean! 

Skin Malgem Smoother

Etude House Skin [Mal:Gem] Deep Moist is a hypoallergenic toner for those with very dry skin. It’s milky like texture allows the moisturizing properties to penetrate so deep and effectively, that additional moisturizers are not needed. Soybean extracts nourish skin sufficiently, improving overall skin condition. While pore controlling properties make skin clear and smooth by reducing their appearance.
Directions: After cleansing, apply all over face with cotton swab.

The Deep Moist is said to fit people with dry and sensitive skin but it works surprisingly well on my oily combination skin too!! I think because Deep Moist is water based rather than oil based so it also suits my skin too. Deep Moist  has a milky texture and looks more like a emulsion or a serum than a toner, so instead using it like a normal toner with cotton I use it like a lotion by rubbing it on my palm and then pat my skin gently with it. Deep Moist feels really nice and it has a cooling effect on my skin too! It is really mild and moisturizes well without making my face feels oily. One small bottle last for about 3 weeks because I only use it in the morning.

Clear Cotton

There's five pad of circular clear cotton in the Skin Malgem Kit and the circular one has wave ridges on it. I think it was suppose to help exfoliate the skin better but regular cotton works the same too.

Soft Cotton

There's also three soft cotton inside the Skin Malgem Kit and it is used as a lotion mask. I use it with the Deep Moist and it left my skin fresh and supple. But regular cotton works just as good though

Moisturizer/Sunblock Trick for Acne-Prone Skin

As I mention regularly on my post... My skin are not good... I have large pore, sensitive, acne prone and oily combination skin which means that I have a constant never ending battle with ACNE!! I usually put acne medication at night but at morning and day I don't have any protection from acne. So I ask my brother about it and he suggest that I mix acne gel with moisturizer or sunblock. That way my skin is protected from acne and since it is mixed with moisturizer too the acne gel won't make my skin dries!! Apparently he's been mixing acne gel and sunblock for a while too!! So.... If you have an acne prone skin like mine and want some extra protection maybe you can use this trick too..!!

I currently use Etude House Skin Malgem Deep Moist and Niacef Acne Gel. You can get Niacef at local pharmacy.

Use about a pea size of acne gel on your palm.

Add moisturizer, emulsion, serum, sunblock or whatever it is that you want to mix with the acne gel. Rub your palm together and pat the product lightly on your face. I use them on my neck too since I have a few acne on my neck (T.T),

1st Impression: The Skinfood Gold Kiwi Serum, Cream, and Sun Cream

Happy New Year everyone!! 

It's my first post of this year and it's gonna be a quick review or maybe a first impression to be exact. It's about the Gold Kiwi Whitening series from The Skinfood. I have several sample of this product and decided to try it for a few days.

The Skinfood Gold Kiwi Serum

This serum has a semi transparent color, the texture is like a runny lotion so I have to be careful when putting the serum in my hand. I usually rub the serum between my palm and pat the serum to my face. It has a fruity scent but not too overwhelming and quick to absorbs too. Some serum leaves my skin feels a bit sticky and oily but it's not the case with this serum, after I use it my face feels moisture and fresh and not sticky. A sachet last me for about 3 days and I use it twice a day. This serum also do no break me out, usually when I'm not compatible with a certain skin care it breaks me out after 3 days or so.

Review: Melanox ES Whitening Cream

Hai..!!

Kali ini aku mau review produk lokal yaitu Melanox ES Whitening Cream. Produk ini aku dapet dari bongkar-bongkar lemari di rumah waktu mudik lebaran kemarin. Saat mudik kemarin aku sengaja tidak membawa berbagai macam perlengkapan skin care karena kupikir bisa memakai apa yang ada di rumah dan ternyata di rumah ada macam-macam hi hi hi ^^. Awalnya kupikir ukuran 15 gram ini ukuran sample, ternyata ini sudah ukuran full size-nya ya?? Setelah bongkar-bongkar lagi aku menemukan satu lagi sample Melanox ES dalam ukuran 7 gram. 

Berikut sedikit penjelasan mengenai Melanox ES:

Melanox ES diformulasikan secara mutakhir untuk me­mutih­kan kulit wajah dengan bahan-bahan alami terbaik. Aksi yang diberikan ganda yaitu untuk menjadikan kulit wajah lebih putih dan cantik dengan cara menyamarkan bintik-bintik atau noda-noda hitam. Beberapa kandungan istimewa di dalam produk ini adalah: (1) Rumex Extract, ekstrak dari tanaman yang bermanfaat sebagai penghambat kuat enzim tirosinase yang berefek pada de-pigmenting dengan mengurangi pembentukan melanin di kulit. (2) Kojic Acid didapatkan pada sejeni­s jamur Jepang yang ber­khasiat sebagai whitening agent yang bekerja menghambat produksi tyrosinase sehingga mengurangi pembentukan melanin.

Bahan lain pada produk ini adalah (3) Lactic Acid yang dikenal sebagai AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) yang secara alami terbentuk dari hasil fermentasi susu. Zat alami ini bekerja sebagai pelembab kulit dan membantu eksfoliasi sel kulit mati. Zat ini jug­a menampakkan sel kulit baru yang bertekstur lembut, halus, dan bercahaya. Dengan demikian, ia akan mengurangi kerut-kerut halus pada wajah yang muncul akibat penuaan din­i. Di samping semua ke­unggu­lan itu, Lactic Acid juga menghasilkan efek depigmenting sehingga kulit tampak lebih putih dan bersih, dari noda-noda hitam. Bahan alami lain adalah (4) Vitamin E yang sudah diketahui sebagai antioksidan yang melindungi kulit dari kerusakan akibat radikal bebas (radiasi, polusi) , memperlambat proses penuaan dini, dan menutrisi serta melindungi kulit agar tetap sehat dan lembab.

Komposisi:

Purified water, Glycerin, Lactic acid 3%, Cyclomethicone, Cetyl alcohol, kojic acid, Rumex occidentalis extract, Triethanolamine, Stearic acid, Tocopheryl acetate, Propylene glycol. Xanthan gum, Disodium EDTA, Citric acid, Diazolidinyl urea, BHT, Methylparaben, Propylparaben.

Review: The Skinfood Deep Sea Water Multi Gel (Brightening)

Hello... Today I'm gonna do a review about a product that I've been using for about 2 months now, it's The Skinfood Deep Sea Water Multi Gel (Brightening). When I first hear about this product I kinda curious since it's in a 300 ml bottle, very big right?? Kinda like mineral water bottle if I may say so. I got it for $16.5 (IDR 165.000) if I'm not wrong since it's been a few months already and I bought it at Intenscorner.

It has some explanation in Korean at the back label but when you peel it there's an English explanation beneath.

Review: La Tulipe Moisturizer Gel

Haloooo.....

Udah lama mau buat review soal pelembab yang aku pakai selama beberapa tahun terakhir sebelum beralih ke pelembab dari The Skin Food yaitu La Tulipe Moisturizer Gel. Alasannya?? Pengen coba-coba pelembab lain aja dan sedang mencari pelembab yang sekaligus bisa mencerahkan bekas-bekas jerawat yang bernaung di mukaku.
