1st Impression: Etude House Skin Malgem Kit and Quick Trick for Acne-Prone Skin

I haven't update my blog for a while now because I've been busy preparing for my graduation and haven't had the time to post anything and since now I had a lil' bit time I'm gonna post my first impression on Etude House Skin Malgem Kit.

I got this trial kit as a giveaway prize from Intenscorner a few months ago and finally decided to use it.

Skin Malgem Smoother

Etude House Skin [Mal:Gem] Smoother is a hypoallergenic exfoliating toner that makes skin clear and smooth. Orange ingredient reduces appearance of pores and cleans out impurities effectively, by removing dead skin cells. Lemon extract makes dull skin look brighter and clearer while sugar maple promotes softer skin with moisturizing properties.

Directions: After cleansing, apply all over face with cotton swab.

At the back of the bottle it says "Exfoliation Toner", which really helps in keeping skin smooth. This toner has watery consistency and it has a flowery fruity scent. Both of the Smoother and Deep Moist has a similar scent. I use this toner twice a day as a clarifying toner after I wash my face to deep cleanse my skin. A bottle last for about 10 days since I'm only using it a little bit because I don't want it to go empty since I love this toner so much!! This toner really cleanse my skin well, even after I wash my face there is is still some dirt residue on the cotton!! This means (I think) that this toner really cleanse my face well and my face feels extra clean! 

Skin Malgem Smoother

Etude House Skin [Mal:Gem] Deep Moist is a hypoallergenic toner for those with very dry skin. It’s milky like texture allows the moisturizing properties to penetrate so deep and effectively, that additional moisturizers are not needed. Soybean extracts nourish skin sufficiently, improving overall skin condition. While pore controlling properties make skin clear and smooth by reducing their appearance.
Directions: After cleansing, apply all over face with cotton swab.

The Deep Moist is said to fit people with dry and sensitive skin but it works surprisingly well on my oily combination skin too!! I think because Deep Moist is water based rather than oil based so it also suits my skin too. Deep Moist  has a milky texture and looks more like a emulsion or a serum than a toner, so instead using it like a normal toner with cotton I use it like a lotion by rubbing it on my palm and then pat my skin gently with it. Deep Moist feels really nice and it has a cooling effect on my skin too! It is really mild and moisturizes well without making my face feels oily. One small bottle last for about 3 weeks because I only use it in the morning.

Clear Cotton

There's five pad of circular clear cotton in the Skin Malgem Kit and the circular one has wave ridges on it. I think it was suppose to help exfoliate the skin better but regular cotton works the same too.

Soft Cotton

There's also three soft cotton inside the Skin Malgem Kit and it is used as a lotion mask. I use it with the Deep Moist and it left my skin fresh and supple. But regular cotton works just as good though

Moisturizer/Sunblock Trick for Acne-Prone Skin

As I mention regularly on my post... My skin are not good... I have large pore, sensitive, acne prone and oily combination skin which means that I have a constant never ending battle with ACNE!! I usually put acne medication at night but at morning and day I don't have any protection from acne. So I ask my brother about it and he suggest that I mix acne gel with moisturizer or sunblock. That way my skin is protected from acne and since it is mixed with moisturizer too the acne gel won't make my skin dries!! Apparently he's been mixing acne gel and sunblock for a while too!! So.... If you have an acne prone skin like mine and want some extra protection maybe you can use this trick too..!!

I currently use Etude House Skin Malgem Deep Moist and Niacef Acne Gel. You can get Niacef at local pharmacy.

Use about a pea size of acne gel on your palm.

Add moisturizer, emulsion, serum, sunblock or whatever it is that you want to mix with the acne gel. Rub your palm together and pat the product lightly on your face. I use them on my neck too since I have a few acne on my neck (T.T),

1st Impression: The Skinfood Egg White Pore Foam

Hello there...

Sometimes ago I went to Surabaya to visit my brother for a few days and since I don't want to pack much I just brought some skin care samples with me so I can just discard them after. I got lots of sample and haven't had the time to try them so I usually bring them when I travels. I brought several facial wash sample and The Skinfood Egg White Pore Foam is the first one that I try.

1st Impression: Skinlite Green Tea Essence Mask

I don't really like using sheet mask because I have to stood still while wearing it and it's a bother to just lay down for 20 minutes. But..... Since this was on promo of buy 2 get 1 I'm thinking that it was a pretty good bargain too... This one is $1.5 (IDR 15.000) a piece.

Skinlite Green Tea Essence Mask is useful for lifting and ultra-hydrating results. Enriched with Vitamin E, Phyto Collagen & Green Tea Extract helps lift and hydrate in 15-20 minutes. The mask has special formula that helps retain more moisture and improve elasticity and suppleness after use. It's hypo allergenic and no animal testing.

How to Use:

1. Open packet and unfold mask pulling on flaps.

2. Press gently with finger-tips to set in place over face.

3. Leave on for 15-20 minutes.

4. Remove mask and massage excess product into skin. Do not rinse off.

The mask comes all folded up and drenched in essence although it doesn't drips everywhere. It has an herbally scent rather than the scent of green tea that I was expecting. I put the leftover essence inside the sachet to my neck and hands. There are many slits in this mask so I thought that it would be more adjustable but it turns out to be annoying to place on my face. It barely even cover my nose and it has those flaps for the eyes too. I'm guessing it was suppose to cover my eyes too but it turns out really annoying for me. I don't I think the mask just doesn't fit my face shape.

The first feels from this mask was that it cool and refreshing, and after 20 minutes I didn't have any reaction to the mask, no itch or anything. After I took the mask off my face feel smoother, brighter, and was more hydrated - so I guess it did a good job. Although I'm not sure about the "lifting" or skin elasticity, but indeed my face felt more hydrated and looked brighter.  

My Likes:

- has brightening and hydrating effects.

- convenient and no need to rinse.

My Dislikes:

- the mask doesn't fit my face well and it's hard to put on with the annoying slit.

1st Impression: Ovale Facial Mask (Lemon, Cucumber and Tomato)

Hello!! 

Kali ini aku mau ngepost tentang 3 Ovale Facial Mask varian lemon, cucumber dan tomato. Sebetulnya udah sering sih liat masker ini setiap ke supermarket tapi entah kenapa kurang berminat aja buat mencobanya.  Namun pada suatu hari saat sedang mengantri yang cukup panjang di salah satu supermarket termurce di Jogja si Ovale Facial Mask terus terlintas dalam jarak pandangku. Akhirnya aku menyerah dan membeli macam-macam varian berhubung harganya cukup murah juga, kalo gag salah sekitar 5 ribuan. Varian lemon, cucumber dan tomat hanya tersedia ukuran sachet sementara varian yam bean ada ukuran tube yang lebih besar. Mungkin yang yam bean paling favorit kali ya? Aku beli varian yam bean yang ukuran besar jadinya mau direview belakangan.

Ovale Facial Mask Lemon

Untuk harganya yang murmer ukuran sachet dari masker ini cukup besar juga loh. Satu sachet bisa aku pakai sampai 3 kali, buat yang lebih irit makenya mungkin bisa sampai 4 kali pakai. Masker ini juga mudah digunakan karena tinggal oles-oles aja ke wajah yang sudah dibersihkan kemudian setelah 15 menit dibilas dengan air hangat.

Ovale Facial Mask Lemon lebih diperuntukkan untuk kulit yang mengalami masalah jerawat, selain diperkaya dengan ekstrak Lemon masker ini juga mengandung vitamin A, C, dan E. Masker ini juga mengandung ekstrak Ganggang untuk menjaga kelembaban kulit. Masker ini mampu membantu membersihkan wajah, mengencangkan dang menyegarkan kulit, serta perawatan jerawat. 

1st Impression: The Skinfood Platinum Grape Cell Eye Cream

Well... Since I'm not really that young anymore I've been thinking of adding anti-aging product to my skin care regime. The first product that I'm interested is an eye cream since my eyes always looks tired lately and I've been seeing or I think I've been seeing some liner here and there and it's kinda annoying. So I wanted to at least slows the aging process. Although actually by using Tretinoin at night is also works as an anti aging cream, but I can't put Tretinoin around my eye area because it's sensitive. Luckily I got some sample bonus of The Skinfood Platinum Grape Cell Eye Cream from Intenscorner.

How To Use:
After toner application, apply an ample amount onto the skin around the eyes. Pat gently for faster absorption.

The cream has a very rich texture and it took a while for the cream to absorb. The first time I use this eye cream it felt really sticky so the next time I use it I reduce the amount of the eye cream but unfortunately it still feels a bit sticky even tough it's less stickier than the first time I put it on my eye. Because it's a bit sticky, I only use it at night and not in the day time before I put on make-up because the stickiness will definitely ruin my make-up.

This eye cream do not have any noticeable scent and since I only use it at night and in a tiny amount too, 2 sachet of this eye cream can last for about two weeks. After two weeks I don't really notice any difference with my dark circle although it does makes my eye firmer and not look tired. For my lines I don't notice any difference but I don't have any more lines either at the time I'm using this eye cream. BTW my eyes are quite sensitive but luckily when I'm using this product I don't have any reaction at all.

My Likes:

- makes my eyes firmer.

- doesn't give any reaction to my sensitive eye

My Dislikes:

- takes a while to absorbs.

- felt sticky.

- doesn't improve my dark circle and lines (but then again it's only been two weeks).

Purchase Full Jar?

No... It's quite expensive and doesn't have a results that's any better with my dermatologist eye cream that's far more cheaper than this eye cream.

1st Impression: The Skinfood Gold Kiwi Serum, Cream, and Sun Cream

Happy New Year everyone!! 

It's my first post of this year and it's gonna be a quick review or maybe a first impression to be exact. It's about the Gold Kiwi Whitening series from The Skinfood. I have several sample of this product and decided to try it for a few days.

The Skinfood Gold Kiwi Serum

This serum has a semi transparent color, the texture is like a runny lotion so I have to be careful when putting the serum in my hand. I usually rub the serum between my palm and pat the serum to my face. It has a fruity scent but not too overwhelming and quick to absorbs too. Some serum leaves my skin feels a bit sticky and oily but it's not the case with this serum, after I use it my face feels moisture and fresh and not sticky. A sachet last me for about 3 days and I use it twice a day. This serum also do no break me out, usually when I'm not compatible with a certain skin care it breaks me out after 3 days or so.

1st Impression: Baviphat FT Island Essence Mask

Good afternoon fellas....

Today I'm gonna do a quick post on my first impression on Baviphat FT Island Essence Mask. As the picture above shows, there are four kinds of this mask with four different color. The one that I got is in shocking pink color.
