Review: Etude House CC Cream in Silky and Pure Make-Up Tutorial

I'm in a mood of making another review for today but it's not another lippie stuff and I know I've made a decision to make a theme review but since it's almost runs out I decided to make a review about it. It's Etude House Correct and Care Cream in Silky type. Why I choose Silky? Well as much as I love a dewy look I've tried my friend's CC Cream in Glow before and I don't really like it. It makes me look too oily and it doesn't has any coverage. Silky gives more coverage (albeit light one) and has a matter finish.

About Etude House CC Cream:
CC Cream is a term for Correct & Care. It supposedly gives skincare and makeup effect at once for instant skin color tone correcting and skin condition care. The concept is 8-in-1 Multi-function daily application cream formulated with Rock Rose extract supplies natural corrective care coverage and skin protection.

Makeup Function:
- Brightening, Tone Correction
- Smooth, Even Coverage
- Wrinkle Coverage
- Complexion Glow Coverage

Skincare Function:
Antioxidant Anti-Aging Care
Complexion Care Coverage
Moisture Care
UV Protection Care

Packaging:
Ive throw away the box somewhere  but the Etude House CC Cream comes in a tube packaging with pump cap. I like this type of cap because it's more hygienic and can prevents accidental spilling. The pearly white color and design are very cute too!

Texture:
Etude House CC Cream in Silky looks white with a tiny color bursting particles. I had a hard time taking a detailed look of the particles because I only use my Phone-cam. The texture is quite creamy and it felt silky smooth on skin without any shimmer or shiny properties.

Color:
The CC Cream looks white at first but when it's blend properly it'll turn according to my skin tone.

Coverage:
Etude House CC Cream in Silky has a light coverage and works quite well on brightens up my skin tone and cover redness on my skin. It's perfect when I need something light and not too heavy. Sometimes I just wanna be as natural as possible and it's perfect when I want to have a "my skin but better" kinda look. Sometimes I do like to mix CC Cream with BB Cream with 1:1 ratio or use BB Cream / Foundation after CC cream for a higher coverage

Oil Control:
The oil control is about average I think. My skin gets a bit oily after about 5-6 hours after application.

 What I Like:
- Brightens up dull skin.
- Reduce redness on skin.
- Feels light on skin.
- Hygienic.
- Great for natural make-up look.
- Adjust with any skin tones.
- Skin care and make-up function at the same time.
- Decent oil control.
- Contains SPF so I can skip sunblock when I'm lazy.
- Great as a make-up base.

What I Don't Like:

- Light coverage (Use BB Cream or Foundation afterwards for more coverage).

Where to Buy?
I bought mine from Silvia's Room

How Much?
I think it was around IDR 130.000 or so.

Pure Make-Up Tutorial with CC Cream

Since I'm making a review on CC Cream I thought why not making a tutorial too. This is actually my favorite method of using a CC Cream and I've been wearing this look a lot lately. In fact too often that my CC Cream almost runs out he he he... I'm ordering another one from different brand this time.

1. Prep your face with usual skin care.

2. Dot CC Cream on your cheek, chin, nose and forehead. I put mine on neck because I'm using it as a sunblock too today. Since the CC Cream has color bursting particles it's better to apply the CC Cream with fingers.

3. Apply another layer where you need more coverage. I like to dab mine on my T-Zone as a highlight, another layer to brighten up under eyes and dab some other on blemish marks. Sometimes I mix it with concealer but I rarely do that nowadays.

4. I still have imperfection here and there but it doesn't matter. I don't wanna cover too much today.

5. Set with loose powder because my skin is Oily-Combi otherwise it's gonna get oily fast.

6. Put a bit of CC Cream on the back of your hand and dab your favorite lipstick.

7. Mix the CC Cream and lipstick together.

8. Dab the mixture on your cheek and use it as a blusher.

9. Put on the same lipstick on the center of your lips and smile!!

Note: I usually continue with a simple eye make-up like brown eye shadow, eye liner and mascara but I'm somewhat lazy today he he he.

  1. Kalau CC Creamnya sendiri memang ga menutup noda. Tapi kalau pakai foundie Any Cushion jadi lebih cerah di aku. Tapi tetep sih biar tahan lama harus di set pake l/p :)
