Review: Likas Papaya Skin Whitening Herbal Soap

I actually finish using this soap since last month but never got the mood to make a review about it and since today I'm free I'll make a review about it ^^. This soap is actually a gift and apparently it's a pretty famous soap in Philippines and even has a lot of counterfeit products too!! But don't worry mine is original.

About Papaya:
Papaya fruit contains an enzymes called papain. Papain promotes skin renewal & cell turnover. It helps in skin exfoliation which then reveals new cells. Unlike usual exfoliation like scrubbing, whitening soaps uses enzymes to help promote exfoliation. Although Papaya Soap does whiten the skin, it also takes time. If you want faster results you'll probably prefer using Kojic Acid Soap instead but if you like a gradual adjustment on your skin with less trauma then you'll like the Papaya Soap.

The Soap:
Likas Papaya Soap is quite big and dense. It also doesn't melts easily and can last for about 6 weeks. Like most Pinoy Whitening Soaps the color is orange and smells orangey too. Whenever I use it, I always let the soap sit in for about 3 minutes or so before I rinse. That way  I can make sure that the products can penetrate and do the work on my skin. Gotta get the benefits that it promises right? I tried using it on my face but I don't do it often because it makes my face dry. I prefer using it as a bubble mask. What's a bubble mask? Well I make a lot off bubble with this soap and then let it sits on my face for about 5 minutes. After that those hidden blackhead usually pops up and I can extracts them easily without damaging my skin.

Using moisturizer is a must after using it on my face and body. As for the dryness my face is the one that's drier than my body. Kojic Acid Soap definitely makes my skin drier than this Papaya Soap. And lastly about the whitening effects at first I don't really notice it since the results are kinda slow. Until I notice it when I wash my face that my hands are much lighter than my face!!

The reason is because I use this soap often to wash my hands? Why? Because the bathroom is closer than the kitchen!! #LOL Usually my face is slightly lighter than my body but now my hands are much much paler... Okay now I have uneven skin tone .

Note When Using Papaya Soap:
  •  Use high SPF sunblock because Papaya Soap makes your skin photosensitive otherwise you'll get darker.
  • Avoid direct expose from the sun.
  • Use good moisturizer because the soap makes your skin dry.
What I Like:
- Lightens skin
- Less drying than Kojic Acid Soap
- Gradual results
- Made from organic herbal
- No strong scent

What I Don't Like:

- Aside that it still makes my skin dry I don't have any problem

Lumayan tahan lama karena sabunnya padat dan tidak mudah lumer.
