Review: Cyleina Organic Kojic Soap

Good Day.... Had your lunch yet?

Today I'm back with a review on a Kojic Soap that I bought last October and have been using it for about 5 weeks or so. I bought this soap for $7 (IDR 70.000) at Baterflai Tat Shop at Facebook and the reason I bought it not because I want to whiten my skin but because I think this will reduce black pigmentation on my knees and elbows and reduce scar pigmentation on my calf.

The picture on the packaging is cute isn't it? Although it's kinda funny that it is a Philippines product.

There's a cruelty free label on the side which means this soap is not tested on animals.

The ingredients list is so simple I don't if they write everything down though...

This soap is said to whiten and soften my skin and also makes my face becomes fairer and acne free. So I guess I can use this soap on my face too... I can wash my face and body at the same time.. Tee Hee ^^.

Since this soap is made using natural method and don't contain any chemical fillers I can use this soap down to the last bit. This is also the reason why I usually prefer liquid soap than bar soap. I can use liquid soap down to the last drop while bar soap usually great at first but then it become hard and won't lather well. But I use this Cyleina soap until it is absolutely gone!!

Since the soap is almost as big as my palm I have to cut it into three pieces to make it easier to use. As you can see in the picture it has rectangle shape and orange color. The soap smell like orange too which I love.

The first impression of this soap is that it lathers well, did not leave any soapy residue on my body and melts easily too. So I use separate soap container for this soap and leave it in a dry place so it won't become mushy. I don't have to use the soap heavily to produce foam since it foams easily too.

The first 3 days of using it I notice that my skin is starting to become flaky so that means that my skin is starting to exfoliate. Since I think that my face is gonna exfoliate too I refrain myself from using the soap on my face.

The exfoliation process continue about a week or so and until this soap runs out I never feels my skin flaky again. Does it means my skin do not exfoliate again I'm not certain, but for the past 3 days I've change my soap to Bevi Kojic Soap and I notice my legs is getting flaky (Gonna review it in a month or so). My friend told me that using this kinda soap makes your skin dry so I make sure to extra moisturize my skin after I take a shower and before sleep at night.

After about 3 weeks or so I notice the scar pigmentation on my calf is getting better. Before I really notice the black scar pigmentation when I look at the mirror but now I have to looks more closely to notice the pigmentation although after using it for 5 weeks until the soap runs out I haven't notice that my scar is gone. The scar is lighten but it isn't completely gone. Maybe my skin is adapting to the soap?? Anyway I've change the soap to Bevi Kojic Soap and see it in a month. So far Bevi makes my skin drier that Cyleina so I add extra EVOO on my body lotion or body butter.

What I like:
- smells orangey fresh!!
- exfoliate your skin
- lighten skin pigmentation

What I don't like:
- have to buy online
- makes skin dries a bit

Repurchase?
I'm gonna try other soap first.
