I hope all is well and you guys have a nice weekend . As for me I had a decent weekend I guess... I went with my brother last night and watch "Escape Plan", it was an interesting and I haven't seen Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone in a movie for sometime and was hoping for a nice action kinda like Arnold in that movie "The Last Stand" but it wasn't what I expected. Not a bad movie though... A decent one I guess?? Anyway it was an interesting movie to watch... So... Continue onto the review shall we??
Today's review is about a Pore Brush that I bought some months ago and have been quite religiously using it ever since. Why I bought that? Well to tell you the truth I never pay attention on my pore condition before and always thought that my pore size are quite normal. Well.. How would I know right? I never measure it before much less compare it with other people . But then again people with my skin type does tends to have a bigger pore.
So I saw this video on youtube about facial cleansing for oily skin type and this beauty expert (I think she's a make-up artist or something) said that it's better to cleanse oily skin with a pore brush because it can cleanse deep into the pore and prevents blackhead, clogged pore, acne etc etc. I then try to buy a facial brush from The Body Shop but I hate it!!! The brush was too harsh for my skin. After that I try to google another brush but it was so darn expensive!! Then..... I saw JcLiani's blog post about a pore brush that she bought from qoo10 and that's it!! It was perfect because the brush wasn't that expensive and since it's my first time using it I don't wanna splurge on my limited moolah too.

This is what mine's look like. I bought the 310 Thousand Pore Brush while Jc bought the Slim Pore Brush, well I actually bought the 310 Thousand and the Slim Pore Brush too he he he . The brush came in a hard plastic box but I already throw it away.
The brush measures about 8 cm and the bristles are very densely packed but super soft to the touch!! I like to glide my fingers on it just to feel the softness #LOL
It has a Magatama-like shape that makes it easier to grip. To use this brush you just wet the brush, drop a few of your favorite facial wash and creates a lather with it. My favorite method it I slightly dampen the brush, put the facial wash on my palm and use the brush to create a foam on my palm and then use the foam and brush on my skin. The brush is quite big so it's a bit uncomfortable to do and it kinda felt draggy on my skin. IDK if that's what it supposed to feel like or not though. After I cleanse my face with the brush my skin feels soft, smooth and less oily too!
I try to test the brush on my hand for its cleansing power, in the picture above I put eye shadow, eye liner, mascara, lipstick, lipgloss, bb cream, concealer and foundation. I only use the brush and facial cleanser and it cleanses all of the make-up except the waterproof mascara and eye liner, I guess separate make-up remover has to be use for that.
Sorry for the different lightning but the above one is my skin looks like before I use the pore brush and you can see there's a blackhead here and there. The above one is how my skin looks like after about 6 weeks using the brush and yes I know my pore is still big but it is definitely cleaner. I don't notice a lot of "black dot" covering up those pore before.
Overall I think this pore brush is great for those of you who wants to try this type of cleanser before but didn't want to splurge money on the expensive brand #cough Clarisonic #cough. The only thing that I didn't like is since the brush bristle is really really dense it took some time dry so bacterial problem is definitely an issue here. To take care of that problem I spray a rubbing alcohol on the brush every other day to disinfect it. Maybe the slim brush won't have that issue though since it's smaller. I'm gonna change the brush to the slim one next months and see how it goes...
Note: I think there's also similar brush like this one from Tony Moly, The Face Shop and Secret Key.
