What's it about? It's Maybelline The Rocket Volum' Express Mascara!! What so interesting about this mascara? Well... My ole time favorite mascara ever the Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara is almost empty and the last time I went to Max Factor counter the price has increased to IDR 158.000!! I mean.... That's just... I don't.... #LostWords #ASDFGHJKL So after a little shock on my make-up budget I decided to look for other mascara and then I went to the Maybelline counter. That's when I saw "The Rocket" and see that it has similar wand!! YAY!! 
And the price is almost half the Max Factor one too!! I ask the BA (Beauty Assistant) and she said that this mascara is also waterproof so I without further adieu I bought it. After I bought it I then looked for the review and pictures of the mascara and most of the picture shows that the one that I bought is a WASHABLE mascara and not a WATERPROOF mascara!! I big NO NO for me because that means I'll get a panda eye then!! What the #$%^!!! The waterproof kind has a blue label and the washable one has a pink label. The one that's sold in Indonesia as far as I know is only the pink label so that means it's the washable kind right? Even though I already had bad feeling but it I still give the mascara a go....

The mascara bottle even has similar shape like Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara but The Rocket has electric blue bottle with a hot pink label. There's also a picture of the "Supersonic" brush on the back side and also as you can see from the picture there's no "Waterproof" written on the bottle. Ahhh.... I should've been more careful.

The Brush:
The left one in black is Maybelline The Rocket Volum' Express Mascara and the right one in brown is Max Factor False Lash Effect Waterproof Mascara. You can see that both has similar design and I heard that Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara also has a design like this one.
Swatches:
The top picture is my bare lashes on the left and how my lashes look with only the mascara and the how my eyes look with some eyeliner. The second picture is on both of my eyes before and after I use the mascara. I don't curl my lashes so what you see on the pictures is my natural lashes and I use about 3 coats of the mascara on my top lashes but none on the bottom lashes.
Wash-ability:
In test 1 I put the mascara on my hands and let it dry. After that I try to rub my hands and it only budge a bit, so this mascara is quite smudge-proof. On the second test I try to put my hands under running water and the mascara is still there and didn't bleed everywhere so I guess that's pretty good right? Lastly on the third test I try to rub my hands and the mascara just fall of everywhere so I guess it is the washable kind that I bought and not the waterproof kind. GRRRR.... The BA should learn more about her own product!!! 
My Thoughts:
So the first time I use the mascara even though I was quite concern if it being not waterproof and all I am quite please of how pretty my lashes look!! The result aren't that much of a different too!! So here I am feeling happy and even after about 3 hours I'm still pretty happy because when I look at the mirror I don't have any bleeding or transfer. But for some reason something still feels not right.. I didn't really notice it at first but when I blink my eyes felt sticky. I blink again and there!! It felt weird!! I look at the mirror and then I wink and that's when I saw it. I put the mascara on my top and bottom lashes so when I blink they kinda stuck together!! The mascara is sticky!! WTH!! It's been hours since I put them on but why is it still sticky!! It should've dry right?? Is it just me?? I try using it again the next time on both top on bottom lashes and there it goes!! STICKY!! What is wrong with the formula!! I know I know.... Just don't use on both top and bottom lashes then..... I did try to use it on my top lashes only and they last for almost half a day.... But... When I pinch my lashes together with my finger they get clumped together!! That means even after all those hours the mascara is still sticky!! IDK... Maybe it doesn't bother other people but it is a major put off for me!! Ahhh... And to think that I finally have a replacement for Max Factor FLE. Guess I'm just gonna save more money for it then... Or maybe wait for a 50% discount #LOL
