Review: Maybelline Clear Smooth Minerals BB Cream in Fresh and Maybelline Clear Smooth 8-in-1 Skin Transformer BB Cream in Natural

Hmmm...

Haven't made any review on BB Cream for a while, guess I'm gonna make one now.

Even though many people have made a review on this product I'm gonna make it anyway. We all have different skin tone and skin type right? So I think each review will be different.

I first bought Maybelline Clear Smooth Minerals BB Cream in Fresh and had a pretty good experience so when it almost runs out I bough another one which is Maybelline Clear Smooth 8-in-1 Skin Transformer in Natural. 

The thing is I bought the second one without knowing that it's different with the first one. Is it their newer version? I honestly don't know and never bother to check. I bought the second one in a hurry without checking the label and shade. *aggghh!! *silly me *clumsy me

Both of them have the same shape only different color, and both of them are in a tube packaging. I kinda like it because it's hygienic and you can control the amount of the bb cream. I forgot about the price, but I think both are around $3-ish (IDR 30.000). 

What I also like from this bb cream is that since the package are small and slim I can bring it while travelling.

As you can see I definitely bought the wrong shade for the second one. The fresh shade matches my skin tone while the natural shade is darker than my skin tone. Gonna have to counter with a lighter shade powder. Both bb cream texture is not too thick so I can spread it easily.

The fresh shade really blends well with my skin tone and made it look that I don't wear any bb cream at all, which I like. At first the natural shade really looks darker, but when I blend it the shade is kinda better. Not what I'm looking for but still okay.

Bare Face

This is my bare face, I got blemish marks on both of my cheek and some redness. The redness is sooo much better now.

Fresh Shade

This is after I use Maybelline Clear Smooth Minerals BB Cream in Fresh Shade, as you can see it match pretty well with my skin tone. I wear this for 6 hours indoor and don't have to blot or touch up. Well it does gets oily my rather than shiny my face gets a nice dewy look. So I don't feel the need to blot or touch up. So far this bb cream never breaks me out. The coverage is pretty light though. But it's ok, for the cheap price I think it's great and done its jobs well.

Natural Shade

The Maybelline Clear Smooth 8-in-1 Skin Transformer BB Cream in Natural Shade made my face slightly darker than my original skin tone, but I can still cover it with a lighter shade powder. The staying power and oil control is pretty much the same with the first one. But the difference is this bb cream BREAKS ME OUT!! I don't know why?? Are there any different ingredients between those two?!?! I've already tested it again... with the first nothing happens... But with the second... it breaks me out again!! I have several small red acne on my face the next morning after I use this bb cream. Luckily it's only a small one so my usual acne routine will make it disappear quickly. But still... I can't use this bb cream anymore and this is the cheapest one so far that gives me nice results. 

Maybe I'm gonna try Silkygirl or Caring BB Cream next.....

Repurchase?

I'm gonna repurchase Maybelline Clear Smooth Minerals BB Cream if it's still exist but not Maybelline Clear Smooth 8-in-1 Skin Transformer BB Cream
